Bathrooms can be slippery places. At a minimum, there’s a sink and a toilet that could be the source of water on the floor. In larger bathrooms, there could be a bathtub, a shower, or both. While flooring options in bathrooms tend to be more water resistant, they should also be slip-resistant so that people don’t slip and fall on water that could accumulate on the floor.
Vinyl Flooring
There are many benefits to putting vinyl flooring in a bathroom, especially its anti-slip characteristics and its water resistance. There’s the potential for a lot of water to get on the floor in a bathroom, so both of these are important. On top of that, vinyl is durable and can withstand a lot of foot traffic.

Bamboo Flooring

Like bamboo flooring, cork is also anti-slip. However, it shares the same weakness as bamboo. It’s absorbent and while this helps to prevent falls, it does mean a higher likelihood of mold and mildew.
Natural Stone Floors
Natural stone floors can be a gorgeous option for any bathroom. Stone is also very durable and can last for a long time. Manufacturers typically texture it for an anti-slip quality. The only drawback to stone flooring is that it’s high-end and therefore can be expensive. Some homeowners may not have the budget for stone.
Rubber Flooring
Rubber flooring is the ultimate anti-slip floor. It’s extremely safe in terms of the risk of slipping and falling. It’s also extremely water-resistant. However, it’s not typically very aesthetically pleasing and some don’t like the feeling of it under bare feet.
Linoleum Flooring
Linoleum is often mistaken for vinyl, although they’re not the same. Linoleum is a very water-resistant flooring material, but that does mean that it’s often slippier than other flooring materials. However, an anti-slip sheet can sit on top of the linoleum flooring which can reduce that risk.
